Returns
Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. Any damage to the product due to mis-use or user error will not be refunded.
Candles: From time-to-time, a wick (which is 100% natural), may be faulty. This is very rare, but in such a case, a new wick will be mailed to you to simply slide in place of the old wick. User must remove the old wick and trim the new wick to be ½ inch above the wax. There has never been a case where a user replaced the wick and the wick did not burn correctly.
Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. We do not accept returns of soaps and personal care items due to sanitary or health reasons. It is the customer's responsibility to read the ingredient list on labeling to avoid know allergens. We are not liable for any allergic reactions to our products. If you feel you are having an allergic reaction to a product, please stop using immediately. Spot testing your purchased soaps are recommended, as well as reading all ingredients listed on the website and labels before-hand. All fragrances and essential oils have varying cold and hot throws. All oils used in soaps are used according to the guidelines of the IFRA recommendations. Therefore, some fragrances will smell stronger than others, and still others will smell stronger after becoming wet. We do not accept returns of soap, nor do we refund based on your personal liking of a scent or issue with the strength of a scent/fragrance.
Additional non-returnable items:
-Candles that are damaged due to user error
-Candles where the customer dug the wax away from the wick or poured it out by tilting the jar. Candles that have been placed on a warmer, not meant for our candle jars.
ANY RETURN of any product MUST be approved for a return by the owner. To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase, which includes the date. Please email the reasons, pictures, and circumstances of the product return.
There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted.
- Any item not in its original condition, is damaged by user error, or for other reasons not due to our error
- Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery
- Shipping costs will not be refunded.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days, minus the original shipping cost.
Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale items
Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.
Exchanges
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged due to shipping, and not due to user error. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at tennesseecandlecompany@gmail.com and send your item to: 3804 Concord Rd, Kenton TN 38233, United States.
Gifts
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.
If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he will find out about your return.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.
If you are shipping an item over $50, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
If your item/s were damaged by the shipper, a claim will be made to the company that shipped your item/s.
