FIRST BLOG POST! Welcome to Tennessee Candle Company's WEBSITE LAUNCH!

Posted by Marjie Sanderson on

Welcome to Tennessee Candle Company! This is our first Blog post, and it is exciting. This is Marjie Sanderson, owner and artisan candle and soap-maker. I started this business in 2014, after researching the candle & soap making process for several years. I teach art and am an artist as well. I find the soap and candle-making process to be very creative, and love every minute of it! The ability to design, hand-pour & make each product in small batches & to design our own labels, assures a hands-on, personalized touch for each creation.

The best part is seeing someone else appreciate and love our product too.

My venture into candles all started with my desire to offer to the public, products that were made right here on our farm and vineyard in NW Tennessee, for our (then) newly-built winery tasting room, White Squirrel Winery & Vineyard. I have always been a huge lover of gardening, fragrances, candles, soap and bath products, so I knew that was what I wanted to be able to make for our customers. It has been so nice to create useable products that make people happy, and that feel like a treat for themselves, or others, at the same time.
Through the years, and to my delight, the business has grown! We have been on social media, as well as in stores across Tennessee, eastern Missouri, Illinois and southwestern Kentucky for 6 years, but it is nice to now have a website we call "home"! So, welcome to our new webpage,!
It is my hope to continue to bring to you, wherever you are, amazing products that are made with the finest and natural ingredients that I would choose to use myself, and for you to be able to bring a piece of the beauty of NW Tennessee, our farm and vineyard, and gardens home with you.
Thanks for joining us on this next part of our continuing adventure! Happy soaping, and enjoy those candles too!
